In addition to the automotive engineering course, we also offer railway engineering and transportation engineering courses, which are rare and valuable at domestic universities. Choose a course with your future in mind, such as the Automotive Engineering course, which allows you to qualify for the second-class automobile mechanic examination upon graduation.
Automotive engineering course
The subject of study is specialized in automobiles. Upon graduation, you will be eligible to take the national qualification for second-class automobile mechanic. The national exam pass rate is almost 100% every year!
Railway engineering course
This is the only course in Japan where you can learn about railway vehicle design. Learn railway engineering from the basics and put it into practice through field work. My goal is to work in railway operation, management, and vehicle design and manufacturing!
Transportation machinery course
A course to learn a wide range of vehicles. Aim to become an engineer who can contribute to safety and environmental conservation by learning welfare equipment, environmental engineering, design theory, etc.!

About my favorite railway
An environment where you can learn thoroughly.
Our department is one of the few learning environments in Japan that specializes in transportation machinery, and University General Library is stocked with valuable literature such as books on wheels. From the second year onwards, students are divided into an automobile course and a railway course to enhance their specialization. You can learn intuitively by applying physics and mathematics, and there are also fun experiments and training about railway bogies and ride comfort. In addition, many of our teachers have worked in railway companies, and they are happy to advise you on career options. In the future, I would like to pursue the research theme of railway wheel wear in Osaka Sangyo University Graduate School.

This department, where you can study automotive engineering, was perfect for me as I love cars. During the practical training, you can experience disassembling and assembling a car while looking at the details of the brakes and engine. Particularly impressive was the ``Student Formula Project'' to build racing cars. I learned business etiquette by working as an external relations officer, and was able to participate in company information sessions sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, which was useful for my job hunting. I would like to make use of what I have learned at my job offer and make my dream of supporting logistics through manufacturing come true.

Aspirations for the maintenance industry
What I was able to grasp in that hand was
I entered this department through a recommendation from a working adult, and in addition to my experience working at a company related to railway vehicle manufacturing, I wanted to acquire specialized knowledge and skills in transportation equipment. As I worked on my graduation research, my interests expanded to include unknown fields, and I developed the habit of taking the initiative in researching them. Although I had a difficult time job hunting for the type of job I wanted, Career Center taught me tips on self-evaluation and how to appeal, and as I continued to prepare for interviews, I was able to receive offers from many companies. I will continue to study hard to reach my goals.
