Master's Program Educational and Research Objectives
Degree Award Policy
In order to receive a degree, students must earn at least 30 credits, including 8 credits of seminars, and must pass the master's thesis examination.
1. Skeleton report of master's thesis
Submit skeleton report materials for your master's thesis in late January of your first year, and report at the skeleton report meeting.
2. Interim report on master's thesis
Interim report materials will be submitted in late July of the second year, and a report will be made at the interim report meeting. In addition, the first draft of the master's thesis must be 50% complete. In response to this, a review committee will be established.
3. Submission of master's thesis draft
Students will be required to submit a draft of their master's thesis in late November. Upon submission of a master's thesis draft, a review committee will conduct a review and request for revisions to the thesis during the process.
4. Submission of completed master's thesis manuscript
After confirming the revisions to the thesis in mid-January, students will be asked to submit the completed manuscript of their master's thesis.
5. Master's thesis final report session
A final report will be made in late January based on the submitted master's thesis.
6. Examination of master's thesis
In mid-February, the master's thesis will be judged on whether it passes or fails based on the review report.
Master's thesis must meet the following criteria:
1. Comply with the "Agreement on the writing guidelines for thesis for Graduate School of Business Administration and Distribution."
2. Appropriate issues must be set based on a clear awareness of the issues.
3. Prior research should be appropriately mentioned.
4. Materials such as literature and research are used appropriately.
5. The essay must be properly presented and well-formed as a paper.
6. Creativity and ingenuity must be recognized.
Doctoral Program Educational and Research Objectives
The globalization of modern economic society has deepened, and the business environment has become increasingly liberalized, creating a fiercely competitive society. Under these circumstances, the Department of Management and Distribution aims to develop professionals and professionals who can solve the problems that arise in the turbulent business environment, present new solutions, and contribute to the development of the business society. The purpose is to develop researchers.
Degree Award Policy
To receive a doctoral degree, students must complete a total of 20 credits, including 18 credits of research seminars and 2 credits of special lectures, and pass the doctoral thesis. In addition, in order to submit a doctoral thesis, students must pass an academic ability exam held twice a year.
1. In early May of the first year, the members of the research guidance committee will be decided.
2. In mid-June, students will be required to submit a research plan, which will be discussed by the Graduate School Committee.
3. Have the skeleton report submitted in mid-January, and report at the skeleton report meeting in late January.
4. In mid-February, the results of the skeleton report meeting will be discussed at the Graduate School Committee.
5. In early January of the second year, students will have to submit the first manuscript and report at the interim report meeting. The primary manuscript must be 50% complete.
6. In mid-February, the results of the interim report will be discussed at the Graduate School Committee.
7. In late April of the third year, students will be required to submit a preliminary review application (draft of the paper, secondary manuscript). At that time, the completion level of the secondary manuscript must be 80%.
8. A preliminary review committee will be established in early May and will conduct a preliminary review based on the draft of the submitted paper.
9. In early June, the submitted preliminary examination report will be discussed by the graduate school committee.
10. In late July, if the submission of the thesis is approved as a result of the deliberation of the preliminary examination report, the applicant will be asked to submit a request for examination of the degree application.
11. A review committee will be established in late September.
12. In early November, a provisional submission of a degree application thesis will be made, and the final examination will be conducted by the examiners.The assistant examiner, through the main examiner, will request the thesis writer to revise the thesis in writing, and report accordingly. receive.
13. Students will have their degree thesis submitted in early January, and a public hearing will be held in mid-January.
14. In mid-February, the graduate school committee will make a decision on whether or not to confer a degree based on the review report submitted by the chief examiner.
A doctoral dissertation must meet the following criteria:
1. Comply with the "Agreement on the writing guidelines for thesis for Graduate School of Business Administration and Distribution."
2. Appropriate issues must be set based on a clear awareness of the issues.
3. Prior research must be appropriately mentioned, and the work must demonstrate originality and pioneering ability that can differentiate it from existing research.
4. Materials such as literature and research are used appropriately.
5. The essay must be properly presented and well-formed as a paper.
6. Present at least once at a national conference of a related academic society.
7. At least one academic paper must be published in an academic journal that has a referee system, or at least two articles must be published in a university bulletin such as ``Business Management Review.''
8. In the case of papers submitted to the Osaka Sangyo University Business Review, they must be reviewed by a research advisor or a doctoral thesis review committee.
As a general rule, the thesis obtained, its abstract, and thesis review will be published in the repository within three months from the date of obtaining the degree.
